Tahlia
Child Development Practitioner
Tahlia has a degree in social work and social planning and has spent the last 12 years working with children and families.
During this time, Tahlia has worked directly with children and young people who have experienced trauma as well as families experiencing crises such as addiction, domestic violence and intergenerational trauma. Tahlia has extensive experience in child protection and child protection practices. She is passionate about the importance of the first few years of life and how it lays the foundation of their life thereafter.
Tahlia utilizes a strength based approach in her practice with a focus on connection and neuroscience. She is passionate about supporting and fostering children to become emotionally intelligent young people. She believes that one of the best ways we can decrease child protection issues is with early intervention; the earlier we are able to intervene and support a young person, the better the outcome. It also increases their chances of becoming successful parents, therefore breaking the cycle.
When Tahlia is not working, she is enjoying time with her own family, including her three young children. They love being outside and getting into the water as much as possible.
