Rose
Child Development Practitioner
With a passion for nurturing and supporting children who have experienced complex trauma, Rose has dedicated more than 14 years to working in a therapeutic residential care setting. This extensive, hands-on experience has given her a deep insight into the challenges these children face and the specific support they require to heal and thrive, as well as a profound respect for those providing care for children in all settings.
Rose is a registered nurse and is currently completing her Master’s in Counselling, which gives her an integrated understanding of child development and enables her to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach. She is passionate about utilising current evidence-based practice and is well-versed in trauma theory, attachment theory and interpersonal neurobiology.
Rose believes in building strong relationships and investing in meaningful connections with the children she works with, their caregivers and the team supporting their care. She understands that these relationships form the foundation for growth and healing for children who have experienced trauma and for collaborative teamwork. Rose creates a safe and nurturing environment with a warm and empathetic approach where children and caregivers can feel understood, supported and empowered.
When Rose is not at work, she is spending time with her three beautiful children and husband, most likely somewhere in nature.
