Imogen

Psychosocial Therapist

Imogen has a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Planning. She specialised as a Behaviour Practitioner and Capacity Building Therapist early in her career, her passion lying with parents of young children. Imogen has been supporting families, children and the team around the child for over 4 years.

At the core of all she does Imogen values education, empowerment, empathy and connection. Imogen leads with the understanding that each child and family are unique and therefore the support they receive must reflect this.

Imogen’s approach is child centred, and strengths based. Imogen uses a range of therapeutic approaches to inform her work with children and parents, including Marte Meo, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and trauma informed. Imogen is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, trauma focussed ACT, infant mental health, perinatal mental health, and is working towards her second accreditation as a Marte Meo Therapist and Colleague Trainer.

Imogen is very passionate about supporting parents and their children holistically. Using play is a powerful way to connect with and support children. It allows her to support from the child’s strengths and gifts. Individualised therapy plans can then be born from something realistic and achievable.

In her spare time, Imogen also works with busy mums, supporting them with their personal and business goals. When Imogen is not at work, she is spending time with her daughter and fiancé, she loves camping, reading and spending time at the beach.
