Child Development Practitioner

Olga Child Development Practitioner

Olga has a double degree in Social Science and Psychological Science and has been working with children and families for over 10 years.

Throughout this time, she has worked predominantly with vulnerable children and their families by supporting them in the home to address complex and compounding issues impacting on their lives. More recently, Olga has worked within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector supporting and mentoring educators around child development and behaviour. It’s these opportunities that have allowed Olga to gain extensive experience in child protection, attachment, child development (particularly social and emotional development and wellbeing), play and inclusion.

Olga is child-focused and strength-based in her approach and attachment theory and trauma-informed practice guide her work. As well as being Marte Meo trained, Olga uses neuroscience and the Circle of Security Model to understand how brain development and attachment relationships impact on children’s behaviours and how to better support big behaviour in a gentle, emotionally supportive way.

Olga is passionate about working with educators and families to ensure that children are given opportunities to develop safe, secure and nurturing relationships in a high quality environment that meets their developmental needs and enriches their learning.

Olga believes that educators have one of the most important roles in our society; shaping and educating our future generations. It is hoped by sharing knowledge and working together, we can add further value to the already wonderful job that educators do on a daily basis.

When not at work, Olga enjoys spending quality family time with her husband and two young children.
