Understanding the Neurobiology of Developmental Trauma
3 Hours
This workshop provides a foundational understanding of developmental trauma and its practical application in supporting children in education and care settings.
The workshop also incorporates reflective discussion on the importance of understanding brain development when working with children of all ages. Participants will be introduced to brain development and the impact of developmental trauma using the 'Hand Model of the Brain' by Dan Siegel.
These components aim to deepen participants' understanding and equip them with practical strategies for promoting recovery in children and young people who have experienced relational based trauma.
